About Chicer Collegiate

CHIC  [sheek]

adjective, chicer, chicest.

1. attractive and fashionable, stylish

2. style and elegance, especially in dress

Chicer Collegiate was created by Morehouse graduate Anthony L. Moultry II, class of '97. He was inspired by the imagery found in the HBCU yearbooks of his parents, aunts and uncles from the 1950's, and 60's.

Male students donned slacks, button up shirts and ties, daily. Female students would stride in skirts, scarves and heels, daily. This era of subtle elegance and style continues to influence the Chicer Collegiate aesthetic.

The first collegiate apparel license was granted by Morehouse College, followed by Clark Atlanta University and Spelman College. The goal is to expand the Chicer Collegiate "look" to other institutions in Georgia, and the nation.
